It has been a very long time since I have done door hangers. I don’t remember such a great response, this would not mean they didn’t work I just didn’t follow up on them at that stage of my business. I was new when I did them and was by myself trying to handle everything. I like door hangers rather than flyer. Everyone does flyers, you don’t often see door hangers. Probably because they are a little more expensive and require you hanging them one the door rather than throwing them on the ground in front of the door.
Design them so you can have them punched to be a door hanger or just something you and place by the door. Meaning when you lay out the artwork have some you don’t punch the hanger in, test them both and se what get you a better response the ones with the hanger or the one with out.
I do remember they worked for a while, I don’t have a lot of residential business. I do remember I did get a couple of commercial leads from the door hangers. I also got a great new construction customer that I still have today.
Prices to me I don’t recall, remember though all them are a re a flyer with a punch. Its not much more money to have things punched. Some places would like you to think it’s a big process. I pay about six dollars per 1000 too have Rolodex cards punched. I seen the machine that does this and they do them in a matter of seconds. Some printers don’t do this they send them out. Find one that doe it in house. I went to kinkos to see if they had the machines to do this and found out they send this type of work out, well the manager gave me the number of a guy who does this for them.
