I retired 3 years ago after 21 years in the military. My retirement Flag was flown over the U.S. Capitol and over my last Command. Its sealed in my shadow box with my medals. I can't fly it without destroying the shadow box. I have another flag to fly. In my humble opinion you should fly that flag just be careful that someone doesn't steal it. I think your Father would like to see it fly (I know I would).
