Home owner wants me to clean 2400 Sq/ft of his Cedar home. He stained it back in 86 with CWF Cedar Tone UV and plans on doing the same after I clean it.

The wood is pretty dark with some obvious black mold areas but does'nt look too bad.

He mainly wants the dirt off and has no interest in stripping, which is fine with me.

What should I use and what would you guys charge.

It is all fairly accessable with a ladder.

I think you should be concerned about felting(FUZZIES) on cedar. If he is gonna stain it they would be his problem but at the same time he might expect it to look perfect before he does.Explain it to him upfront,so he dont blame you, there will be fuzzies most likely and if he wants include it in the estimate,if not ,dont worry about it.Just dont end up doing it free.
If there is old sealer left, his job wont last as long
Always wash bottom up !!!!

You CAN apply maintenance coats ove CWF-UV. Provide a general cleaning of the surface just to remove the dirt, etc. CWF is a coating so essentially your going to be removing the dirt from the surface of it...not so much the wood. Fuzzies shouldn't be a problem unless you strip or somehow get down to the surface of the wood itself. Use a general purpose housewash and you be in good shape.
