I got myself suckered into doing this job............stripping a Behr Solid Color Acrylic Latex stain. Has three coats on the floor (worn thin), and two coats on the rails and spindles.
What product should I try on this......Stripex L ?? Or what....? If so, where can I get it, and should it be dilluted or used full strength?
Like I always do, I told him I will probably not be able to remove it all, and he will have to restain with another solid (and not me, call a painter :) ) So, I'm not really worried about perfection, but I would be tickled if I could get it all off! Any insight would be appreciated.

hi mike,
started one of these last week----looked to be at least three coats of behr ac. latex, tried to strip with stripexL, it may have worked, but i would have had to strip off each coat individually. i diluted 1:1, which is about as thick as i can mix stripexL and still spray through pump-up. worked on it for about half an hour and told customer to decide on a solid color. unless you are just really backed up, i'd go ahead and put it on for them, those solid colors go on really easy. just charge it large and see if they bite, but if you are busy i can see not wanting to mess with it. gotta paint mine this week, rained every day last week except memorial day. Getting a lot of rain up north?? good luck on your deck, call biowash and they will tell you who distributes in your area, take about a week to order it.
take care,

Cheaper to replace the boards.

Guys...Some advice
Don't take on a stripping job of a solid - it is a pain and it never looks good. If you do tell them you can probably get the horizontal surfaces down to bare wood (via stripper or floor sander) but the rails will have to be solid.
Paint the rails white.....
I put a disclaimer in any of these jobs that I do that it may require a floor sander which will run Rental Cost + 55/hr and that includes going to pick the sander up
Just some advice (as in been there, had that hassle)
