Wednesday nite I started to clean a resturant exhaust hood. The burner put out lots of white smoke before firing properly and giving me hot water. All evening I did not have a high enough temp water. I have a RK27 ***** ( it is really an Elite machine model 3005VGEVBD) with a 12V Becket burner. Any thoughts on what ther problem is?

Check the fuel filter. Low fuel will cause it to burn white smoke like that. I had the same thing happen last night. IF that does not work the electrodes might be out of adjustment.

Check the screw on the air band. Sounds like it is getting too much air or the electrodes are out of tolerance. If the air band needs adjustment just slide it closed a little bit. You may have to play with it to get it to burn clean. Also make sure someone didn't put gas in the diesel tank. You might need to mess with the fuel pressure too. Make sure all of your fuel lines are clamped tight.Check your fuel filters too. Don't forget about the one inside of the fuel pump. The pressure adjustment is on the side of the fuel pump it has a slot for a common screwdriver.

my service man fixed my PW today. The problem was the hi-limit switch that goes in the burner outlet was bad, so the unit did not fire. The burner nozzle was also plugged, and needed replacement. Do now it is back to work.

. Had a machine in the shop today that almost kicked my butt with the same problem. When I checked it with a volt meter it said that the correct voltage was there. But, the fuel was was not comming out of the fuel solnoid. The voltage was there so, I changed the fuel solnoid. Still no fuel. So, new fuel pump. Still no fuel. Pressure switch. Nope still no fuel. I bypassed the High Limit switch and BINGO. Fuel all over me all over the floor soaked my cigaretts and my shoes. But it didn't kick my butt!
