Clean County is on a distinguished road
Question

Hey Wiz,
I'm debating on using Upstream injection for house cleaning mainly vinyl siding. I pretty much use chlorine, jomax, maybe a house detergent and water mixed together to form my cleaning solution. I also like to use hot water on this kind of siding because I think it cleans better and easier when doing so. Ive pretty much use downstream injection when I clean these type of houses. Now I'm thinking of using upstream injection so this way the solution I mix together will always be hot and in turn clean even better. The question I have for you is my PW has a general triplex pump and putting this mix thru it will it harm the pump and other internal parts such as brass fittings?
Thanks

The Chlorine in it's raw form loves to eat brass. A week solution will take a little longer to do the dammage. Mild soap without Costic Soda or any kind of Acid will be okay to run thru the pump. You must have a float tank or draw water from a water tank for your pump to draw soap into the line. The high pressure from the spicket will prevent the soap from going into the pump. Also I recommend a check valve at the input end of the soap hose to prevent the water from filling up your soap buckett.
