Personally, I prefer Simple Green, but if you do a search on gutters, you will find several years worth of info on this subject.

F-13 Gutter Grenade, Simple green and Purple Power all seem to work well for me.

thanx for the in put,I have used greased lighting either by directly spraying on or if the gutters are to high spraying on the brush then scrubbing to clean them, but this time they just would not come clean. How do you guys apply those products? with the greased lighting it will not work in the pump sprayer it foams up and does not hold pressure.

Depending on the condition of the gutter I pull out a white bucket and dump some F-13 into it and then eyeball about a 20:1 ratio. I dip a brush in this and brush it on the gutters. I let it dwell for a few minutes and then agitate with the brush again and it usually comes right off. If it is stubborn I will add a little more F-13 to the bucket.

For Simple Green I use it full strength and Purple Power I cut it about 1:1 with water.

F-13 seems to do the best job and is the only one I use on gutters that look like the paint is failing or old.

I usually just use Gutter Zap, you can also use Powerhouse full strength but I've never tried it myself. Just don't leave any of the chems on the gutters too long, the paint will come off too.

Default gutter zap

i use gutter zap and i get it from xteriorsales.com. it works on white and colored gutters. most of the time i just spray it on and let it dwell about a minute. i then throttle my pw down to 500 psi and then take the black streaks right off using a 40 degree nozzle. some stains are stubborn so i'll spray, use a foam mop to work it in and then rinse it off. there are several other uses for gutter zap and the nice people over at xteriorsales.com with give you a list of what else you can do with it.

good luck,

rando

getting through the winter? does bussiness for guys drop off in the winter for residential cleaning, and if so what do you guys do to get you through to the spring? I have just purchased an add in the yellow book. would like to explore other parts of the pressure washing biz, like new construction cleaning, or fleet servicing but with research I found that fleet servicing its best to have a recovery system.Because I do not won't to finded. did not budget for a recovery machine.Thanx for any input that would help. The more info the more growth.
