Default Hello everyone!

Hello, My name is David, I live in Alabama and are a single parent of 2 teenage girls.. Ive been for some time now contemplating starting a cleaning service. Ive drove a truck many yrs and got off the road 4 yrs ago to raise my girls.. I know some of the advantages to owning your own business if you know the business..I owned and operated my own truck for the last four yrs I was out there..There is very little about it I didnt know..And I was very profitable at it..Theres no dought in my mind from that experience, the key is knowledge. As with all aspects of life. Im not totally lost to this kind of work, but Im not totally literate to the trade either..On a 1 - 12 grade scale I guess Im a 5th grader...lol. So theres no dought I need some improvement before plunging in .. But I have seen alot of interesting things on this sight so far, and really look foward to talking to everyone on this site..Thanks for all Ive read..

I have been washing and detailing now for 5 years. I am always looking to learn,(Techniques, bidding, marketing, chemical, water recycling etc...!) I have a mobile Detail and pressure washing business here in Northern Utah. (Yes it is winter here but hey, people still want their vehicles washed.) We wash most days 20 hours per day and wash 6 days per week. We have washed at night when it was 18 degrees before (We wash 42 produce trucks 1 night per week, they must be washed rain, snow, sleet or hail.) we also have been washing when it was 98 degrees! We wash anything and everything anytime and anywhere! Trucks, cars, houses, fences, decks, brick, stucco, school buses and Greyhound Buses, from high end Bentlys to Toyotas, Geos, from petro tankers to Milk tankers, all types of construction equipment big and small. Any ideas on how others are building their business, pricing, etc... would be great, we are looking to grow. We are also looking at becoming more effective and always interested in doing things that will increase the bottom line. We are willing to share with others that are looking at expanding just as long as you don't use our secrets against us here! LOL! The more we learn the more we learn that we don't know!

Thank you
Steve "Mr Shiny"

Default Hello

My names Pete. I live in Warren, RI. I'm completely new to the business. I plan on starting a Pressure Washing business this spring. I just purchased a DeWalt 3750 psi 4GPM washer from Home Depot. I plan on upgrading very soon once I learn the ins and outs of the business and get it started but i got it at a great clearance price of $650 so I'm sure it's well worth it to start off. I've cleaned roofs for another employer and saw the earning potential of the business so I decided to start off on my own. Not doing roofs but, plan on doing houses and walkways, maybe boats and maybe fleets depending on how the business goes. If anyone has anything they think I should know (I know theres tons I should know) basically any imminent advice you think might help, feel free to message or email me. petertsampson@yahoo.com. Anything would be greatly appreciated. Anyways long story short, I'm looking forward to getting to know some new people and definitely looking forward to getting schooled on this business.
