Default White Flim

I wash been washing tractors for about 6 months. At one of my location I wash black tractors and some times I get a white film that I can not get off. Has anyone had this problem before and any solution for it.

Several possibilities here. You could have your soap too strong and it could be drying before your rinse. You might just not be getting all the soap off. Worst case scenario is one like I had with one of my accounts. The water you are using is too hard. Doesn't matter how hard you work at it or rinse at it, with black trucks it's very hard to keep streaks off with hard water. Only solution to this is to use de-ionized water. Are you using a brush or two stepping?

Rub the paint with your finger. Try to make it shine. You might have the begining of paint chalk. Too much chemicial not enough scrubbing. Are the trucks non factory paint??? If they are chances are the paint is of poor quality.

If the fleet is on the high end side, suggest to the owner operator, to have the trucks sent out for a wax/pollish. Do they run in the winter salt/calcium areas??? These chemicials can kill paint too.

yes the fleet is a higher end. These are leased truck so I would assume the paint was put on after factory. The trucks are located in the wisconsin area. So they do run in salted area but this has been happen before any salt has been put down for the year. Is there a soloution I can put in the water to de-ionized water?

What we normaly do is hit it with a degreaser soap, next we scrub it, then I will rinse it off with cold or hot water depending on the seasons.
