Tim, Nice work and nice site. I like your truck too. Looks like it is easy to operate everything.

Default Thanks, Mpw

MPW,
THANKS FOR THE KIND WORDS. THE TRUCK IS EASY TO OPERATE, FUEL AND GET AROUND IN. THE PROBLEMS LIE IN ITS HAULING CAPACITY, BUT IT JUST KEEPS GOING & GOING. THAT TRUCK HAS BEEN HAULING WASHERS AND BLEACH SINCE 93. I ACTUALLY BOUGHT A NEWER RANGER A YEAR AGO IN ANTICIPATION OF THIS ONE GIVING UP. http://www.softwashing.com

i washed part time for over ten years, in 99 i opened up a repair shop working on pw equipment, i had a good start and then then 9-11 happened and everything went south. so i went back to work for someone else where i was absolutely miserable. i was still selling a few chems and worked on equipment on the side and of course still washing. january of 2005 i quit my job, i went to work driving a school bus for the bennies and steady paycheck although it is not much. currently i am washing steady. i have learned to ask questions when i am quoting a home owner, asking questions has landed me several paint jobs, deck treating, vinyl siding installation, home repairs, yard maintenace etc. and you don't always have to know how to do these things, but it does help to know someone that does. so now i am somewhat of a general contractor, which enabled me to build a spec house last year and now starting another one this year. i still stay busy pressure washing, and i work on other peoples equipment on occassion, sell a few chemicals etc. hopefully my 18 year old will be taking over the pressure washing to get him through college. i still enjoy it, but i'm getting to the age where alot of body parts ache when i wake up.

softwash Those are some great before & after pictures. Do you use sodium hypochlorite? Up here in Md I have used bleach while doing a house to clean small areas on roofs but I haven't seen any like your pictures.

I started doing this when I was 19 (22 now) full time (Being I had no job). Unfortunately I was too immature and started out with little money. So I didn't do so well. When I turned 20 I was working on pool tables and did it then too. I started taking off and making more than I was making a week doing pool table work. I was doing an average of $400 a week with pool table work. Not a lot but living with parents and no vehicle payment it wasn't bad. And helped me fund some more of my equipment. Once it started taking off I was doing atleast 2-3 jobs a week. Which was good with no vehicle payment or bills of any kind. But I crashed my BMX bike and busted my spleen and had to remove it. I was out of work completely for 2 months and lost all my money and couldn't advertise anymore. When I did recover it was winter and work was slow except of pool table work. Then after that winter my Pool Table work picked up a good bit and I was working from 7am to 7am if not later and didn't have time to pressure wash with me working 6 days a week. On Sunday I was too tired and didn't care anymore.

Plus I got a vehicle payment because my truck broke down and hadn't had the courage to go out on my own with my vehicle payment. I don't make a lot of money but enough to get by.

Recently I decided I'm tired of Atlanta and want to get out of this mess. So I plan to move to Charleston, SC sometime next winter (After Christmas). So I plan to do pressure washing part time again and I'm hoping to do decent so I can have my rent and vehicle payment taken care of for a while so when I move down there I'm not a nervous wreck trying to make money and pay bills. I plan to do Pool Table work and Pressure Washing. And if I get some more equipment I'll do lawn care too.

So basically I am part time now and hope to make it full time in Charleston.

Moving to Charleston from Atlanta in Frebruary 08. Will need Pool table or Pressure Washing work!!!
