Question stripping off old paint !!!

I am a home owner hoping I can get some good advise on removing old , chipped paint from cedar siding with a powerwasher. I got started this morning but I stopped and came to this web site because I don't know if a powerwasher is going to do more harm then good. The paint comes off but it leaves the wood very very wet. My second fear is about whether or not the water is penetrating the wall cavity and in the future will attrack termites or carpenter ants. Any advise would be greatly appreciated. I read most of the posts regarding cedar lap siding but almost all had to do with cleaning and preserving rather than stipping old paint and repainting . Thanx so much.

In my opinion (and I do both paint prep and paint exteriors) pressurewashers are lousy for trying to remove paint. It should be scraped then washed with TSP and some bleach.
