We aren't doing the traditional "door hanger", like the "do not disturb" signs at hotels. Although, those could work if layed out properly and you could convey enough info. I have 9" X 12" poly bags with a doorknob hole we will use. We will run a discount promotion for our "neighbors only" printed on bright yellow paper so it catches their eye as they come up the drive. Included will be our standard tri-fold brochure, a business card and the flyer will direct them to our website. Keep in mind, very few people use their front doors as an entrance. Opting to park in the garage & use that entry door. That's why the bright paper in hopes they see it as they approach the house.

We are in a rural area that has dozens of highly concentrated sub-divisions within a 5 - 10 mile radius. Hundreds & hundreds of homes (homeowners). I use to do UPS during the holiday season and all of these were on my route, so have seen an incredible amount of potential work. I will utilize two of my employees for the campaign, sending them to the sub-divisions where they will park, walk up & back hanging the promos. For the bags they hang, they will have pre-marked the biz cards with their initials. For every call, they get $5. If we get an actual contract, they get a commission of $25 - $50 depending on the job. Although they are experienced enough to talk intelligently about the business and our services, they are instructed to engage the prospect if they happen to be outside, offer the promo packet, and direct any further questions from the client to our website or myself. They will make special note of that address if the prospect flat out says they want a quote, then I will take over from there.

Again, we've never done this program, but our largest competitor does when they are slow. I intend on hitting this hard in the next few weeks, before deck season gets going. (Temps here in WI are still too cold!!) If we get a 3 - 5% return, that would match the typical direct mail response. My guess is it may bring more than that. We'll see.

Hey, Im new to this fourm. Im also relatively new to pressure washing. I've been in business for a little over a year now. Im the owner, and the name of my business is " Under Pressure". I just had professional cards and flyers designed with my logo on them, which I also had professionaly done. What is my next step? Where should I go from here. I would like to expan from mostly residential to more commercial and beyond that. Any pointers would be much appreciated.
