What yall think about Liquid fertilizering lawns - Power Wash Network "The Power Wash Contractors Forum"

I'm new to this business and I just made a big investment & im trying to get all i can out of it . I was washing a house this week and a guy came and fertilized the lawn in about 15 min and all he had was a pump and tank. I'll like to hear what you all think about putting liquid fertilizer thur my system it would only go through my pressure hose not the tank or pump .It would pull in to the line and mix Im just thinking about how to make MONEY.

Yes the idea will work. Although to get the right percentages of fert/weed control will be next to imposible with direct injecting from the high side of the line. To do it you would have to premix the chem, in the tank. This will contaminate the poly tank and cause more issues. Look into the insurance licensing and liability plus the seasonal aspect of the lawn spray bis. IMO it is better to specialise in somthing and know it inside and out rather than to dabble in ten different things.

The licensing / testing requirements to apply pesticides / herbicides (at least in VA) are brutal and would present an enormous obstacle...which might explain why you don't see too many doing it already.

I would have to agree that it is better to focus on specialize in one or two specific areas than to be a jack of all trades. Even just in power washing there are many guys that focus on a small market of it. I wouldn't want to go see a doctor/mechanic. If I needed the car fixed I would go to a mechanic, and if I was sick I would see the doctor. These trades each take a lot of training and skill, go with the professional in each.

Hello- To apply Pesticides/Fertilizer...You would need a "Pesticide Applicators License" Testing is very stringent and can cost time and money. You would first have to study MANY different types of chemicals, to treat different types of grasses, as well as MANY different types of weeds. It's a tough journey. Insurance complications come into play as well. Now as for using your pressure washer system to apply chemicals? The system the Pro's use is very different, Low pressure, In tank Mixing,The gun is metered, all kinds of aspects. Look up "Lesco Sprayer"
