Proposal for Condo's... 65 decks
We're putting in a proposal for a condo association of 65 decks, the proposal is due in 14 days. We went out to look at the decks and a few condo owners were outside and inquiring about what we were doing there. Each owner made is very apparent they were NOT happy with the previous job performed. (Clumps of sealer / drip marks / workers throwing furniture around / showing up unexpected /not tarping/ NOT washing some of the decks, just sealing)
When putting in a proposal... what seems to work? Short, sweet and to the point? OR Explanations & Reasoning?
Do we include reasons/explanations for our processes and pricing?
We have 2 other condo associations that we do and each member of the management co/assocation seemed interested in knowing EVERYTHING. However, this management company wants us to FAX over the proposal.
We plan on mailing it to them since we have 2 weeks to get it to them, faxing seems impersonal.
Do reference letters, before/after photos, etc make us stick out from the rest? (they are getting other estimates).
What seems to work, what doesn't? We'd love to conquer another association!

I sent some of our stuff. You might want to hand deliver just so they see your face. It's worked for us - even if the one you hand it to probably won't be making the decision, appearance is important. Also, offer to attend the association meeting when they are deciding on what to do so that you're available to answer questions.
