Default 3 oil stains...

Hey everyone, I have a quick ?...
I gotta call from a dealership wanting me to go out and power wash three small oil stains for a customer of theirs, so I am going to do a job tonight for only 3 oil stains approx. 7" in diameter.. Ive tried a few different chems and can not get oil stains out. I found a few people on this board using; Castrol Superclean, purple power, and few others, but I was wondering how good these would work.. I am using cold water, i know hot water would help, but im not going to spend $100 to rent it for these stains Any guideance would be great

Default to late

It's probably to late as you were going out to do it last night, but here's some helpfull info for your tool bag of tricks. "Natural Enzymes". We use a product called Bio-Concrete Cleaner. It actually eats petroleum based products. (don't get it on asphault). Continues to work every time it gets wet. Getting rid of oil stains with cold water will take a lot longer, using a lot more detergents, and will not do as good a job.But it can be done. Hope you made out OK last night, and got paid. Nothing like being an unpaid entertainer.

Actually, the best way I have found to remove oil stains is kitty litter - the cheap stuff. You could use oil dry, but it costs more. Spread a generous amount on the stain and grind it in with your foot (please wear a shoe!) until pulverized and the consistency of talcum powder. Sweep it up and do it again. This should get most stains out. (The clay, when fine enough, is pushed deep into the pores of the concrete and literally sucks the oil out.)

you will remove concrete, before the stain comes out with a pressure washer. concrete is very porous and oil soaks in deep. the kitty litter does good, but i'm not sure about how long term it is. i'd be interested in learning more about the enzymes, i've heard about it but never knew for sure if it works or not.

Try the "zep" website. Bio-concrete cleaner. The hot pressure washer is only there for a light wash and rince.Plus the perverbial "Dog and Pony Show"
