I put up a post asking where to find the best prices on goodyear 100'-150' hose

It got 2 pages of posts, I noticed that a few times when someone put up a link of a good price BAM it would be taken down.
but ofcourse Marks own selfpromoting posts stayed up.

In the end I found this hose for $115 total and thanked everyone for their efforts. I also included the link to where I found it.

AGAIN, this post was taken down and only Marks post of his own link was left up.

So I thought, hey, maybe I am violating the rules, so I checked, well it does say that I cant advertise companies, links, or products.
well, since I have no association with them I do not consider putting a link up advertising.

I uderstand that you are the moderator or maybe owner of this board Marc, but do you have this board to help keep people in our industry well informed or to just advertise your products?

I am gratfull to be a member of this board, so don't get me wrong. If I really did violate the rules, than I appologize and will not do it again.
I did join this board to get information and stay current with the industy, I did not think id see a strict regulation on what information I am allowed to see, and or a monopoly on it.

I'm sure this post will be deleted in the next few mins, and if I'm not banned for speaking my mind I will not discuss this matter any further.

I've had my own problems with this. Not to take anything away from Mark. His prices are as good or better than anybody else.
As I understand it, Mark is a sponsor here. He has exclusive rights to advertise to his heart's content. As for posting links, you can't post a link to a site that sells the same product as Mark does, or any other sponsor, because they may not have paid for the exclusive right to have their product advertised.
The problem I have is this: How in the world are we supposed to know who is a sponsor, and who isn't? How are we suppose to know whether Mark sells what we are trying to tell someone about?
But, alas, rules are rules, and I don't mind abiding by them.

Complain than read the rules does not sound like a professional,tho we do have alot of freeloaders wanting something for nothing.
