Cool Is the moon full?

Hiya!
Is the moon full or something? Rod went out to do an estimate this morning and the guy chewed his ear off for 45 minutes. Now talking for 45 minutes is fine, but the guy unloaded on Rod. He talked about how he is former FBI and an ex-marine and how he killed 4 people and has a .45 in his house and how he likes to think about killing people, and how he dreams about it alot. Told Rod about the dream he had last night....

Rod kept looking for ways to get off the deck....

So, is the moon full?

I wonder if we will get this job....

I would say that this subject has not been involved in any event that he mentioned. A person who has experienced those event would not make a spectacle as you mentioned. I have run across people like this and they back down when questioned about thing they know nothing about.

Very true,

But you never know either. I would just stay away from that person. However Rod was there and would have a better feel for the situation than I. Sometime delusional people snap.

I am saying that people with similar backgrounds would not make a open sermon about his background. Sure he could snap even if he was not part of those events-that is my point. In my prior work we would run into subjects like this and in the process of a field interview we could tell that the person had not been part of the events that he was referring to. For example I am a former Viet Nam Marine and my question would be regarding units and events that he should know. In most cases they would come up with a response that Woody Allen would come up with. People that have experienced those types of issues, tend to keep them private.

I totally agree with you. I was just saying that for someone like the average person without experience in dealing with or identifying these type of people are better off to approach with caution.

You must have been in the law enforcement field. If so how long did you service your community. I have a great respect for the police and fire fighters.

My uncle was a cop for 20 plus years. Chicago juvenile division then went to the suburbs to become chief. He is now working as an investigator for a major electric or gas company in IL. (can't remember which)

He mainly deals with fraud from large corporations as well as any funny business within the company he works with. He loves it. Beats the days on the streets in Chicago.

Rod said the guy just started talking to him as if he had known him for years, and was really open about it. Rod has not been in the military, or law enforcement. He listened to the man, and tried to enjoy the company, although he was a little uncomfortable because it was out of left field. His concern was that the guy was a loose cannon. He didn't behave like most men he talks to.

My late step father was Italian, and was in intelligence in Italy for many years. At the end, he was delusional and irrational. He used to threaten to call the Russian embassy and divulge secrets (20 years ago).
