Version 5.2
In this release you will find new functionality and enhancements, new reporting tools and options, as well as minor tweaks and fixes to issues reported by users.

New Functionality and Enhancements

Project Management

-Allows users to manage a single job across multiple visits
-User-friendly Wizard makes the simplifies the difficult task of project management
-Manage projects with one or more sites
-Manage projects with one or more employees, crews, or sub-contractors
-Job Costing broken down by labor and material expenses
-Contrast initial budget versus actual costs plus percentage over/under
-Progress Billing and Fixed Charge Capability per service/product, with the ability to mix-and-match charge models within a single project
-Project Management Reporting tools to see completed, in progress, and future scheduled tasks.

Robust Filter for Jobs and Schedules

-Ability to filter past and future jobs within a customer file by any combination of the following criteria:
Job Date
Job Status
Job Sub-Status
Invoice ID #
Location
Company Profile
Product/Service Master Category
Job Summary

City and State Auto-fill and Verification

-Enter a ZIP code on a new address and the city and state fields will automatically fill information from your master ZIP code list.

United States Postal Service postal code database added

-New installations of ServiceCEO are now shipping with a complete USPS ZIP Code database (46,000 records). Existing users with a support contract can have this merged with their current database free of charge. Contact technical support for more information.
-Coming Soon – Automatically update your ZIP Code database via the Internet to account for monthly changes and additions made by the postal service. Current support contract required.

Additional Search Engine Functionality

-Find customer or employee records by invoice number
-Find customer records by access code
-Find customer records by marketing code

ServiceCEO bandwidth usage reduced by 25%

-Client-side storage of system options decreases network traffic and improves remote access performance via the Internet.

-Day and week box views – highlight time slot with your mouse and type to create new schedule.

-Option to include location name on work orders where customers have many sites being serviced
-Ability to customize page footers (“Thank You for Your Paymentâ€￾) on both statements and invoices
-Job and Schedule Cancellation Report added
-Footer removed from all but last page of multiple page Work Orders and Invoices

Reported Issue Fixes

-Duplicate Job Functionality no longer labels “Duplicate Ofâ€￾ in the job summary box
-Tab order fixed in various forms
-Date field edits now supported using keyboard. Tab now takes you into next field, while the slash (/) can be used to move within the different parts of the date
-Work hours for new employees default to standard company hours
-Ability to edit dates on transactions (payments, adjustments, misc charges)
-Ability to apply a miscellaneous charge to an existing invoice
-New quoting security rights
-Columns in customer billing history have been adjusted
-Invoice items in customer billing history now show payment and adjustment amounts applied to that specific invoice

Wow...........sounds like you folks have been busy!

I especially like the Paychex integration. I've been using Paychex for years.

Thank you for the kind words, I guess now you can see why I have not been quite as active in the past month or so, lol.

We have the next release date set for August 1 and we need help!

Coming in the next release will be a more robust overnight scheduling engine for the kitchen exhaust guys, multiple skill set capacity checking, and last and most importantly, complete bidding and estimating tracking and reporting tools. This is where we need the help the most. Please visit the other post I put up yesterday and answer our survey, your answers will directly affect what get's built, as well as qualify you to receive discounted pricing.

As always, if there are any other needs, or as I like to call them "PAINS", that you wish your computer would help ease in running your business, let us know!
