No wait betwen the steps. Rinse, rinse and when you think you riinsed enough, rinse again. Without pictures, square footage, knowing your gpm, experienece and knowng what is on the deck there is no way to tell. It could take you two hours or two days. Be thorough with the rails.

Just like I said in first post, no wait between the steps. Strip is followed by brighten.

Rinse off as much chemical as possible. There will be a lot left after you pass your wand over removing the previous sealer. You have to get that off the deck.Take a dep breath. There is no way someone can lay this out for you. If you have done your research like you mentioned then you just have to go out and do it. You'll be fine. Let us know how it turns out for you.

Every square inch of the deck needs to be washed. Think of the fan stream of water as a brush, focusing on moving with the grain as much as possible.

Keep the wand moving, don't stop in any one area....keep the wand moving. Go from one end of a board all the way to the other end. No back-and-forth movement, which will leave zebra stripes.

Good Luck.

Actually, if you use the wand like a spray paint gun, feathering out at your furthest reach, you don't have to walk each board. I find it much easier to do smaller (about 8') sections. By feathering, I never leave any marks. You can not tell where I stopped and started - just like a good spray painter.
