Robert,
After bashing me on Delcos bbs for recovery and spending money on equipment that is not needed, but only adds cost to the customers, when did you become such a supporter of recovery?

What made you change your mind????
</b>

When you have to recover, recover...

If you use chems, you have to recover... In my case on the new construction end, I don't have to recover. Just divert into the dirt, have no off property discharge, and I'm covered.

What changed my mind are you and Jon, and also me being asked to do a dumpster pad.

Made sense then, but even more now.

The way I look at it, your machine doesn't work without fuel: that is the way it is.

If the law requires you to recover in certain situations: that is the way it is.

I'll not knock anyone who doesn't recover, nor will I pat anyone on the back who "says" that they do.

It looks to me like in the very near future the strict enforcement of water recovery will be widespread. Where I live it's a fact of life.

What clouds the subject of water recovery is the ambiguity attached to some of the regulations. Let's face it, we're not supposed to let our waste water enter a storm channel, that's a given. Most big companies have compliance people on their staffs now and that's where the trouble starts because of contradictory interpertations. If these regulations are not understood or interperted properly at the local level your life is gonna be miserable until you reach some kind of an agreement. At one of the places I work they don't want plain water going on their asphalt (kinda rediculous huh), let alone into the dirt, and god forbid if your water reaches a storm drain, bye bye.

I've had my ass in the water recovery sling a few times and it's no fun. Complaince Officials are sometimes very narrow minded and hard to deal with, but if you can somehow reach a POINT OF REASON with them you'll be miles ahead. The Regs are probably different everywhere so beware, and be on your game.

You either comply or you don't, but I guarantee you that if you do you will get to know the word "ambiguous" a whole lot better than you do now. If you don't have to worry about compliance in your area, good for you!!

Good to see you post Kendra. I'll email you soon and we'll catchup lol.

[hello] Cali I'm lost for words,it doesn't bother me to see newbee's going out of business but to hear about a true professional is heat breaking.

You know everytime we have gotten off on the reclamation tangent everyone always ends up arguing......

I really don't think it has anything to do with the reclamation topic. I appears to be just about any topic that anyone feels even remotely strong about.

The important thing, I suppose, is that you have no regrets. In the end, you have to answer to yourself first, not anyone on this board, or anywhere else for that matter.

I wonder how many of you folks in favor of turning in your non-reclaiming competition would also call the IRS if you knew your competition was taking payments in cash under the table and not claiming them.

If so, would you do the same thing to a close friend who WASN'T a competitor?

HAHAHHAHAHAHA so your saying a newbee's not a professional?
Whatever, looks to me like some newbee's are not stuck in the some rutt as others and are adapting to change. I'll stick with a newbee who's willing to learn, change and grow, then someone who thinks he knows it all and looks down on others.

Yes,I'm saying newbee's aren't professionals,just ask them and see!

Most aren't born with silver spoons in their mouths like some, they have to learn and it takes more than a day or two standing inbehind a wand to be a professional.

I'll stick with the pro's that have already learned like Cali and trying to better the trades by fighting for the rights of newbee's.

Yeah I know, they are more know it alls out there then you can shack a stick at.
