Black corn stove markings

hey there im putting a bid on a house that has a corn stove which left black suit all over the back of there house. they have alum siding and im not sure what to clean the house with. should i use hot water or cold water???
would like someone's help

Wastin your time.....

The black silt will not come off. Depending on how old the aluminum is it is probably baked on by now. The only thing you can do is to explain to the customer the need to replace or repaint the siding after cleaning.

The silt from the corn is sort of like resin and if it is left on too long it will stain and bake (depending on the sunlight in that area) into the anodized aluminum.
