Workers Overcome By Chlorine
A health club in Laurel, Md., was evacuated Thursday after a small explosion in one of its rooms.
Prince George's County fire officials said the Sport Fit health club was evacuated after three employees were overcome by chlorine.
The facility is located in the 3000 block of Marshall Avenue. Fire officials said the workers went to check on the explosion and were subsequently overcome by chlorine. Three club employees were taken to the hospital for further treatment.
Members of Prince George's County's hazardous materials team entered the building to evaluate the situation.
