Easier pouring of five gallon pails

Ok this is a really easy fix to use when pouring chemicals from five gallon closed pails.

Drill a self tapping screw and washer into the lid opposite of the pour spout.

Now when you need to pour from the pail remove the screw and washer.

This will let air enter the pail and allow the chemical to flow out of the spout evenly.

Replace washer and screw after use.

Thats a cool trick................ I just turn the can so that the funnel is @ the opposite end as where I pour.

This is a good idea. Will have to try it out. When I get my chems (5 'ers) delivered I then pour the liquid in 1 gal. jugs. Needless to say pouring from a 5 'er to a 1 gal even with a funnel can be cumbersome!!!

Carlos, set your 5 galon pail on a table or work bench. Get the spot so it is on top, (at 12 o'clock position) Open the spout, and slowly turn the pail towards the right and the product will pour easily into a funnel that is inside your gallon jug. Once you get the jug full the turn the pail back to the left, (so that the spout is in 12 oclock position again) re attach your lid and your done.

Put a straw between the funnel and the opening of the gallon jug. That allows the air to escape, and not bubble up into the funnel. No straw? A nail, sliver of wood, zip tie, will also work.

Business is good, Bought a new-to-me van last month. It still sits at the shop, no time to modify it for our use. It is a 2006, hi-top E350, less than 70,000 miles. Every time I think we can get started, someone calls with a problem and we have to go fix it.

Business is good, we are busy, and we charge more than our competitors.
