Florida Gutter Cleaning: Anyone Seeing More Packed Pine Needle Clogs in Summer Months?

Hey guys,

Running into something odd on a few gutter clean jobs in Florida lately. On some houses, especially the ones with older shingle roofs, I’m seeing gutters that don’t just clog with leaves, but the downspouts are getting blocked with a mix of roof grit and fine sand. It’s almost like sludge building up in the elbows, not just loose debris.

Even after flushing from the top, water still backs up in a couple of spots unless I physically break it apart or disconnect the downspout. Not seeing this as much in newer roofs.

Anyone else dealing with this lately or figured out a quicker way to clear it without pulling everything apart every time?
