Gravity feed ?

I am considering going mobil with a 2700 psi Honda driven commercial pressure washer if I can generate a few commercial contracts. My question is can I supply a pressure washer by gravity feed from an onboard water tank.

I am assuming this is a direct drive unit. If it is you will have a harder time drawing water from the tank because of the rpm's the pump is turning at. It will still work with a direct drive unit but you will need to make sure the water is even with if not higher then the machine. I would use a 1" hose going from the tank to the machine and make it as short as possible. The bigger the tank and more water that is in it the better. If you have at least a couple hundred gallons you will get good head pressure. If you try and make it work from a 55 gallon drum then it will be harder. If you have a belt drive or gearbox unit then you will be fine. I don't know how many guiys out there are using water tanks with a direct drive unit. A direct drive unit just doesn't pull water well. With belt drive units pulling from a tank there is a lot less to worry about. Can you tell me how many GPM's (gallons per minute) your machine is? How big of a tank are you going to use? What are you going to mount this on?
