help with bid on hoods

ok i have a bid in mind but would like to hear others first before i go head with it.

i have to give a estimate on 3 burger kings that get done (qt) once every 3 months.

#1 this is one is in a mall...first hood has 3 filters about around 4 feet long.
second hood is a over hang in the middle of the kichen around 6 feet long with no filters.

#2 one large hood also over hand in the middle of kichen no filters.
second hood small 4 feet long with 2 filters has 2 friers underneath it.
3rd hood same thing 4 feet long 2 filters.

#3 same thing as ^^^^above 3 hoods 2 small ones with 2 filters each and a large over hang with no filters.

like i said i have some what of a price in mind but dont want to under bid myself or over bid and loose the job. this is my first experiance with bk but have done mcdonalds perkins and many more. any help would be greatly appreciated. i also have to have the estimate in by monday, thanks.

ok here is what i was thinking!

the 2 stores with the 3 hoods.....$450.00 each there cleaned but just need to be maintaned.

the store with 2 hoods 300.00 what do you guys think?

Will check BK here in CA

I'm just starting out, haven't done a single hood yet, but I do know some people at a Burger King here in California. I will try this weekend to find out what they are already paying to have their hoods cleaned and let you know.

We spoke with Burger King here in our town but not able to get a dollar amount for what they are already paying.

My feeling is that a Franchise is important enough that I'd consider a complimentary initial cleaning to familiarize myself with their setup and actually see how long it takes, in order to make an accurate bid based on actual time and materials. Not to mention gives them a chance to see the results they can expect. I think someone on a forum mentioned they tried for 2 years to win a BK account and only succeeded after doing it once for free so they could see.

I have cleaned numerous BKs and the center hood for their broiler gets pretty dirty and sometimes doesn't drain well at all. Once you get the traps cleaned out really well the next visit is much easier.

I could clean a BK in 3.5 hours.

I would clean two per night for $425 each. They were all three hood set ups with straight drop duct work.

3 hoods, 3 straight ducts, 3 fans - scraping char and cleanup - $425- $450. Whatever the market will bear.

Awesome information, thank you! We've had a second talk with a BK manager and she indicated that going rate is in the $200 range... hmmm. I like your numbers better.

well im still waiting to hear from the BK i think hes going to use me he sounded pretty happy with the prices i gave him. what was 150.00 a hood i know im already beating the other guys by atleast 600.00 for all 3 stores.

see what im finding out is that no one does it local and there all driving atleast 4 hours away. there charging these restuarants 600.-1200 for services. i just started out 2 months ago and im local im also charging reasonable prices. so in the last 2 months i picked up 20 new accounts.

Here is a BK we do quarterly for $275.

We have about 6 of them under the same owner and they are all pretty similar so we gave him a deal on the 6 stores. They are pretty easy, foam em down with a water hose rinse, no machines involved, so we are in and out in about an hour.

That is a great point about companies charging too much because they have to travel so far. Another thing I have seen make companies charge more money is they are using the wrong tools, which make their jobs harder.

We're trying for some BK's in our area so we supremely appreciate this thread. One thing I'm wondering about are the references to BK concrete vs BK's can be easy. Any thoughts on that anyone?
Thanks
