I read in here(search)where people have leased there trucks and p/w equipment.
What leasing co.does this?
Also read about the $1 buy out and the 10% buy out.Understanding the $1 buy out, your payments are higher which one of these would you pick?

I contacted Marlin leasing just to see what it was all about. Thay passed me on to Safe leasing where I got the info I needed.
I would NEVER use one of these companys. I was quoted on a $20,000 loan/lease @ 33 months @6.5%= $925.04 per month payment. Over $30,000 payed in under 3 years. Yes you can pay it off early but its no benifit to you, you still owe the full amount instrest and all. I could accept this if I had bad credit/no credit but I dont. Go to the bank and get a loan, you'll save big time in the long run.

Leasing is good for immediate take write offs, but you usually wind up spending more than if you'd paid cash.

You can still write off cash purchases, just just have to write off the depreciation over several years rather than the actual purchase price. Over time it is a wash.

Consult your CPA, or tax advisor would be my advice,

There are advantages to leasing, but each individuals case is different.

That is why it is best to consult an expert.

You can write it off every month anyhow under equipment expense and interest under interest expense: you are a business and that is a legit business operating cost.

I don't lease, and never will. I know lots of folks who lease everything for the office desk to truck equipment etc. Different strokes for different folks it's what makes for a horse race. Cash is king.
