DJ, your trailer reads:
Too hot to handle.
To cold to hold.

Not being pedantic, but did you intentionally do that or was it an oversight?

If any of this is wrong, then correct me, but I believe I read somewhere on here that you're 19 or 20. I don't know your living situation, but if you still live with your parents take full advantage of that. Save every dime you can. Don't eat out. Don't go to movies. Don't purchase video games. Don't splurge on expensive clothes or shoes. Don't buy fancy toys or spend a lot of money on your vehicle. Save! Save! Save! Buy your partner out or if that's really not a financially sound thing to do. If it's not--which I think I read somewhere else on here that your partner wants full price for the pressure washer even though it's a few years old and has a good bit of use--then purchase a pressure washer of your own. You can probably get by with a unit that is smaller than what you're currently using until you can save more money to invest in the company. I recommend (though others might disagree and they are free to express their opinions as to why I might be mistaken) that you DO NOT go into debt buying equipment. Only purchase what you can pay cash for. If you can't pay cash for it (or pay of your credit card statement in full every month) then DO NOT BUY IT!

I know I got off the topic of this thread so I will stop now.

BTW: Where are the pictures of the McDonald's job? I for one would like to see before and after pictures if you have them.

Yes, I think it would be dirty if that's the way you went about it. However, if you go about it in a more professional manner (and there are numerous professional ways to approach the situation--it all depends on your personality and his) then I don't think it's wrong to leave.

I will give you an example, but I can't say this would work as I don't know you nor do I know him nor do I know the ins and outs of the relationship so take this with less than a grain of salt.

Go to him and tell him that you enjoy pressure washing and that the money is nice but that you cannot live on just 50% cut. You appreciate that he pays for XYZ and that you are using his equipment but that doesn't constitute your only receiving 50%, especially since you are doing all the labor. You would like to buy him out at a fair price or you will have to go buy your own equipment and start your own business as you cannot be limited to just 50% any longer.

That's INCREDIBLY simplified, so much so as to almost be useless, but hopefully you can pine about things, and decide your course of action. Whatever you decide, be fair. Not just to him but to you too. It's always best if everyone walks away from a deal feeling like a winner.

What's going on in Michigan?

do you think that it would be wrong of me to be like umm "hey johnny sorry man i'm done with you i'm buying my own equipment" i just think thats dirty i dunno?!? but i can't wait till michigan i 'm so excited i can't wait i know i'm goona learn a ton . . .i talked to michael on the phone the other day and learned like more the 45 min we were on the phone than i have 4 weeks of reading on the web lol can't wait!!!!

I do not see were the owner is making anything, paying 50% labor and suppling everything isn't going to replace things.I think I would settle down and enjoy the ride that you have now,his eqt.,tires, brakes are wearing out.I think he will offer to sale you the rig before long and then you can either buy it or buy your own.

Before I used a surface cleaner I didn't truly appreciate what it can do.

Saves time? Yes, but that's not the biggest thing to me.
Saves wear & tear on washer and saves gas? Yes, but that's not a biggie either.
Saves your back? Yes, definitely! The others were enough for me to buy one, but allowing me to work longer, faster AND not have a sore aching back was major icing on the cake!

You can buy an el cheapo at <some place that doesn't advertise here> for $350. Just make sure you get a grease gun and some grease w/ the purchase so the bearings don't seize.
