Mosmatic 21" floater

I bought a Mosmatic 21" floater surface cleaner a few months back and ran into an immediate problem - - - it doesn't float. So, I called Mosmatic.

When the Swiss designed this unit (which has arguably the best swivel in the world) they designed it with a water recovery system in mind; hence, when it's on the ground it creates a vacuum instead of a cushion of water. Upon examing the skirt, it's solid - - no place for the water to go outward and create a water cushion.

I took a pair of tin snips (that nylon is really thick) and cut out three small sections on each of the opposing sides and it cured the problem.

I tried this on my driveway cleaner in Raleigh. I could not get much of a cut going until I hit it with a mini torch. A real torch would be even better. After that the skirting is much more cuttable and the performance results are pretty good.
