Grasshawg,

Maybe the picture is of too high of a resolution, and the site doesn't want to except it because those take a good size of memory to store. (such as if you took the picture using a 5 megapixel digital camera) If you are not sure of how to reduce the picture's size or decrease the resolution, email the picture to me and I'll see what I can do. As far as actually posting the picture to the site, I've never done it, so I couldn't explain it. I'd be happy to descale the picture for you though.

Hope I can help,

Here ya go

I want to thank everyone who helped me learn so much in such little time. Still a lot to learn yet, but now it's time to get out there and make stuff happen.
This site has been loads of help, and I'm sure will continue to be throughout my quest. Time to feed the yunguns!
Thanks everybody!
Randy

Thanks, Ken. Notice the "kiddie car" in the background? I didn't before. I know if that ol' Dodge ever takes a dump, my son wouldn't mind lending me his ride to pull the trailer!

Randy,
Go to wallyworld and buy a large grill cover to throw over the machine. Also, consider having a cap welded over the burned to keep rain out while driving.

Yeah, I thought about rigging up something like that to cover the burner. Maybe welding a hinge on it and a hasp with a cap for easy removal/covering?

Woohoo!!

Very nice setup Randy, and one of the prettiest purple barrels I've ever seen!

Seriously, that's a nice rig, Driver. [wsmile]

Randy, lookin good !!! I'm jealous, my old used rig just doesn't look that good!!!

I have pretty much everything in place to start blowin and goin here in Rodeo town. Talked with some people and have some jobs on the horizon ... waitin on other contractors to get outta the way, or in one case waitin for the contractor to schedule his work so I can clean before he gets there!!!

Hey, we need to get together this spring sometime. I have a lease over near Center that I try to hit once a month or so. Gonna try to get a turkey next month...unless the hogs rip me up!!!

This weekend I'm takin the grandkids (5 and 3) to our other lease at Big Sandy, to work on our "deer houses". Probably won't get anything done but hover over them, but it's a blast.

Again congrats on the rig..

Looking good.

Those rims sure look prutty but the rubber wrapped around them want be worth rabbitseeds in the logging woods.

I cann't tell ifen your pulling off the bumper or hitch?

If it was me I'd move the tank to center over the axles and move the washer in front putting the weight of it moreso on the tounge of the trailer.I know it looks like you have alot of room for this and that but in time you'll be looking for room to add another whatyacallit.

Good luck Randy your starting out with the right size rig, learning will come alot easier.

Also if it was me and a 5 gpm rig I'd up size my nozzels to maybe 7.5 or 8 gpm,I didn't look as to what gpm you have.

Nice setup. Watch out for those straps on the tank. Change them out when you can. Those metal bands are alittle costly. But the will hold that tank down. Chemicals and water sifting will weaken those rachet straps. And you can make a baffle for your tank so will not surge on you so much. It will save you transmition. Snow fence from lowes or depot works well. shove it in and fluff it up with a broom handle and screws. There you built in balest.

You have a good lookin rig there. Word of advice on the 55 gallon drums - if you keep them you may want to put tall brackets for the weight. When they are over 1/2 full that low bar and tie strap won't be enough to stop them from taking a tumble when doing an emergency stop or sharp turn.
Don't know how it is where you are from but down here there are a lot of folks that see a space and think it is for them to squeeeeese into and then make a turn or stop for some reason. I had a brand new Vet do that last year locked up all my brakes and stopped about a 1/4 inch before hitting him. He got mad at me for the close call yet he was the one that took my open area for stopping. He had not even got plates on it yet.
Two 30 gallon drums broke their straps moved forward and took the generator with them. nothing was hurt but time. Now everything has proper size bracket/frame and bolted down.

Thanks, Stan. I've since gotten rid of the barrels and just carry 2 5 gal buckets of soap, and 2 5 gal buckets of degreaser, and an empty one for mixing. I fill them before each job. Works out a lot better and takes alot of weight off.
