Need help fine tuning my downstream injector

I am fairly new at using these downstream injectors. I was wondering what is the best dilution ratios with liquid soaps and degreasers. My chemical supplier told me to mix 1.5 gals of his liquid soap or degreaser in a 5 gal bucket and fill the rest up with water. I did this but the mix seems too diluted. I know that water also gets mixed with the premix when the downstreamer sucks it through the hose. Anybody know any tricks to fine tune this process? Thanks in advance!!

Use math to figure it out. If your washer is say 4 gpm and your delution is suppose to be 1.5 to a 5 gallon pail, you can figure it out like this:
5gal-1.5gal of soap=3.5gal of water
3.5gal-4gpm= -.5gal of soap
1.5-.5=1gal
1gal+4gpm=5gal
that means at 4gpm you should use the soap streight without deluting it. The injector will do the mixing.

Depends alot on your chemicals as to your ratio, some are better then others.

1 to 1,,,,1/2 to 1,,,,,2 to 1,,,,3 to 1/2 depends.

also your orifice size plays a big part plus some have higher draw rates like 10% draw 15% draw 25% draw 50% sucker.

Also might add,fix the downstreamer with Q.C's as to unplug at end of day to clean.

Chris, I'm afraid I don't quite follow Wiz's math, but here is how I do it. If 1.5 gal soap is in a 5 gal container, that is 3 gal in a 10 gal container or 30%. You may want to check, but some chemicals say to take this 5 gal container and drop your chemical injector hose in it. In that case, if your chemical injector draws 10% then you will get 3% soap applied to the surface. If you use 100% soap and draw 10% with the injector, you will get 10% soap applied to the surface. You need to determine the percent draw of your injector, it is very simple to do. Hope this helps.
