Nmd 80

Hey has anyone used this? Eaco Chem's NMD80 brick cleaner? Is it really great or not? I'm assuming it's very expensive because they won't even tell me the price without sending me a DVD first!

We use it daily and wouldn't change back to anything else we've ever tried. It's not as expensive as other brick products you will find. Give us a call, we have some brick coming up next week - you can see it in action with your own eyes.

Eacochem has distributors - pricing varies. I think the company closest to you sells it for $120/5 gallons. We actually pay less than that from our guys.

Prosoco Products

For Brickwork, we use Prosoco. Although Prosoco will not probably save you any monies either. All good brick cleaning componds are expensive.

Have you ever tried the NMD80? We used to use Prosoco (all the various ones for the different bricks) NMD80 is good for any kind of brick and it's less expensive

Is the NMD80 HF acid based?

Yeah - it's hydrochloric, same as all the rest but they have added some kind of buffers & surfactants that make it safer, easier & less expensive to use. One must still use PPE and take precautions as with all chemicals .As I stated above, we have tried about 3 different Prosoco products and the NMD80 works out better for us, both labor wise and financially - and since out builders keep calling us back - evidently, the look is very nice as well
