Oil in Pump from leaking gauge

I have a General jm2900 Sewer Jetter. The gauge was leaking water and dripping on the pump. I wasn’t aware that the oil cap to the pump was missing the little yellow cap. So the water was going into the pump. The machine lost pressure and I shut it down. The oil was white and milky. My questions are Did I ruin the pump? if so I will purchase another one but I want to get the best pump that will perform exceptionally well with the sewer jetter. I’d like high GPM I suppose. Any recommendations? The pump I have now is a GP TX1051A 63 series. I have another pump on an identical jetter that is a ez4040. Both motors are Honda gx390. Any suggestions is appreciated.
