Purple Power Vs Simple Green

Has anyone ever tried Purple Power? I bought a 32 oz bottle of it at walmart in the automotive section, and also a 32oz bottle of simple green also in the automotive section. Both are in spray bottles but i will remove the sprayer and insert my chemical injector into the bottle to use it. I'll report back my findings (tho it may be a while, 2 inches of ice and 4-5 inches of snow on the ground right now, not sure my fresh water hoses would work right now. I am just curious as to what you guys' opinions of these two cleaners are if any of you have used them. I am more interested in hearing about purple power, as i have heard stuff about simple green already. Both cleaners are concentrated, but the packaging makes the purple power sound better and it is cheaper on top of that. I can buy a 2.5 gallon jug of it for $11. Simple green was $6 for 1/2 gallon. Also, Can I move my chemical injector from right at the pump to right PAST the heater, so i dont have to pump that chemical thru the heater?

trying to be humble but the best place I have found for both is BACK ON THE SHELF.

What are you wanting to clean ? I will be honest Purple power will clean a gutter at full streangth but its not too good of a degreaser.

I like the purple power better than the simple green. I dilute 10-1 and use in a pump sprayer for general cleaning. Works great on smoke stained vinyl blinds. I've had good luck degreasing at straight to 5-1 dilutions. Never tried it in a PW. I don't think I'd run it through my pump.
I haven't compared a lot of PW chemicals yet, but I think you could find something better and more cost effective for doing a whole house.
For a general around the house cleaner, I like it for $6/gal.

There is many other cleaners out there that cost less than 6 bucks a gal after dilution
but to use a degreaser on a home to wash no way not good for the paint at all

I tried both today FULL STRENGTH on house, fence, and concrete. Simply put, Purple Power sucked on everything. Simple green was better on the fence (but not by much), and it sucked compared to oxyclean and bleach for that. It did ok on the house. Regular household bleach mixed with water 1:4 (1 part bleach to 4 parts water) was the best all around. (testing done on my own house/fence, not someone elses) . Overall I was really disappointed at the performance of the oxyclean too even tho it did pretty good on the fence. (sodium percarbonate, aka oxygen bleach mixed 1# to 1 gallon of hot water sprayed on directly with a pump up sprayer). It wasnt worth anything on the house or sidewalk. Even Purple Power was more effective on the house and sidewalk, and I would say it was the worst of all the cleaners I tried. Maybe i need to make my oxyclean mixture stronger, or try pure sodium percarbonate. Im sure oxyclean adds other stuff to the mix, like diluting it with soda ash or something. At $5.50 for a 3.5# tub, im sure there is something more cost effective. It would probably take atleast 3.5# to a gallon of water to make a decent strength mixture. Who knows how many gallons it would take to do a house. Regular bleach........ $2 for a 5 gallon mix. I will check for ill effects tomorrow but so far everythings looking good. Also tried a turbo nozzle for the first time today too (only on concrete). I like it except when it gets hung up. Its an old turbo nozzle, very old. 10 years id say maybe more. They might be made better now, i dont know.

Just about anything that you can buy off the shelf is overpriced and under strength. In a pinch some will do if used full strength and through a pump up sprayer, but you are best off finding a quality supplier of chemicals that are made for what we do.

I've been getting Sun brand oxycleaner for about $1/lb. at Wally World. Haven't tried it with pressure washing yet. I tried some Clorox color safe bleach on a spot of porch that was REALLY moldy and turned out great. The wood looked really restored. Not just bleeched and blasted. A couple ounces in a quart of water.
I bought 5 different kinds of Monster brand cleaner last week. The weather is supposed to warm up here this week. I can't wait to get out and try these compared to some home brews.
