I've been having a hard time finding soada beads at a competitive price. We need sodium hydroxide. Anyone know of a supplier in the midwest?

What's a competitive price? [puke] Don't go by the prices you see on old posts. Some of those guys bought skids and there's inflation to consider. [white] Check the yellow pages in Dearborn and Ann Arbor for chemical suppliers. The university towns usually have chem suppliers. It's cheaper to buy local than having shipped. [hello]

Caustic soda beads, and just about everything else
has skyrocketed in price! :burn:

Petroleum related products, plastics, brass, copper,
aluminum & steel have seen some big increases
price hikes recently.

Pumps have taken a big price hike.

We use lye in 1 pound containers and mix with another degreaser works well. red devil was what we used for years but they quit manufacturing it. It costs a little more than buying in bulk, however sodium hydroxide needs to be kept sealed , so buying it in 1 lb. containers is just easier. $3.49 per 1 lb. container at menards.
