We Thrive Under Pressure
After watching the youtube video and reading about the Surface Edger on this board and another one, I don"t know if I would ever use it but I may order one to try out. I do a school system with 13 schools that this may would work for. I am currently doing one with about 22,000 sq ft of sidewalk that is edged very well. So this would appear to work very well. Of course, I generally hover over the edge with the surface cleaner on the majority of the sidewalk then get gum and rinse at same time.

For what its worth, I think the surface edger could be altered slightly to make it a simple quick connect to your wand.

Without having a surface edger in front me I am only guessing at lengths but why couldn't you add a 4" aluminum threaded wand extension with one end having a fixed 1/4" screw in 40 degree tip and the other end with a 1/4" plug. The u-bolt would hold it in place. You could even center the u-bolt or add another one.

The only reason I bring this up in one of the threads there was a discussion about modifying it.
