Trying to know as much as possible!

Hi Guys! I don't know much about the pressure washing business, but I hope to one day get my foot in the door, for now I am just trying to learn as much as possible...My question is about the portable water tanks...i know this may sound stupid, but where do you guys get the water from??..I live in a condo at the moment so I am curious as to where i would get that kind of water supply...

Welcome to the board,

Anywhere we can get it,homes,job site,some city water plants,creeks,rivers and well water.Its the reason some of us have bigger tanks then others,going back and forth and traveling some distance will need to be added into your cost in doing jobs with no water hookups.

My local water company has a bulk fill line at their headquarteres............its a 2 inch line, fills my tank in no time. They charge 5 cents per gallon, and a minimum charge of $10 per month.

I almost never fill it there though............mostly, I just leave a job with the same amount of water we came with. I almost never pull a full tank.

Ask them if they want to provide the water or would theey like to have you provide it at an additional charge: Charge for the water itself, transporting the water in (wear and tear), so much per mile to atain the water, If it causes the job to take more time than necessary: OT charge.

Sure they will offer you a spicket some where...
