water dams

i have been having trouble with water running underneath my water dam mostly on bituman or uneven surfaces do i need to fill it with sand or is there something that i can use to seal the dam to the bituman.thanks for any help

thanks mark i do have a vacum boom (10ft) its just that sometimes i need to deflect water towards it and sometimes i just want to deflect the run off to the grass without running my vacum unit.

Mark, do you sell portable dams? I know XXXXXXXXXX sells them but they are very expensive. Is anyone aware of other distributors that sells them. Need a few before the season starts.
