Austin Texas Job

I am looking for someone in or around Austin Texas who can handle a good size deck job.

These people contacted me via e-mail and I told them I would try and find someone in their area who knows what they are doing. They said that they have two bids already but don't feel comfortable with the companies. They also mentioned that they have a large deck and if they were going to pay several thousand dollars to get this job done, they want it done right.

I am almost sure that if I recomend someone to them, they'll use them.

If interested, get back to me ASAP, they are waiting for a reply.

Jim,
Exactly how big is the deck and is it located in Austin or maybe North of Austin?
Also, does it just need to be washed and sealed or does it need the whole 9 yards done to it?

They didn't say just how big it was, just that it was big and if they were going to pay a couple thousand dollars to have it done, they want to have it done right. from what I understand, the deck is only about 7 months old. From what she wrote, I am assuming that there is no product on it. She did say that they also have a 6 or 7 foot high fence around the home that they want done also.

This could be a good job for someone.

It definitely sounds like a great job.
My only problem is the distance. If it is actually in Austin, it wouldn't be a job I could do but if it was about 35 or 40 miles North of the actual city, I might be able to help them out.
It's just that it will be awhile before I can do out of town jobs and even then there going to have to be pretty close.
I'm a single parent and have to stay fairly close to home in case any emergencies arrive.
I know what you may be thinking but it's really tough when the job gets more than 25 or 30 miles away. It's hurting my business but I don't know what else to do.
If you find out that it is about 25 to 30 miles from me, I will definitely give a bid on it. I live in Temple which is about 1 hour North of Austin.
I'm doing a pretty large deck and a fence now that I had to pratically do for nothing, so I could sure use another job to make up for this one.
I'm finding out that folks in this area want a lot of their work done for nothing and will lie and everything else to get the job done for almost nothing. High Profile jobs included.
Let me know if you find out a little more about it.
