I've been talking with Steve Howland of Extend-a-wand on and off for two months now and he seems to be very above-board. Whenever I've had a problem (though it has taken a while to get a call back) he has always given the best solutions possible.
He was selling to E-spec but they low-balled the price and pissed off the rest of his vendors. When I spoke with him on Friday last, he didn't say they weren't selling them anymore, but that they would be bringing the pricing back in line to their original agreement.
I bought two three-section wands (12' & 24'). They are a dream to use. You have to get the 3/8 line on even the 12' if you are downstream injecting.
I've never been to his web site, but have always been very pleased with the customer service he offers over the phone.
I don't know anything about the Corliss poles. Are they the yellow ones with the twist collars?
Steve has come up with what he feels is the best wand in the industry and is trying like heck to get it into the hands of those who want it. As he says, "We didn't build it to be low priced, we built it to work right." I'm sure we all can relate to someone who has a great idea for a business (like power washing), has a hot product, and then has more demand than he is able to handle while his business is still in its infancy. I say give him time to prove himself worthy of your trust. He has mine.
Just my dos centavos.
