Looking for suggestions

I am hoping to dam up portions of the restaurant floor. Any suggestions as to what would do the job best? Up here they sell sand in a tube (long sack) for traction weight for winter driving, any reason this would NOT be a good idea?

MARK home depot sells metal studs they are real light weight
put them on the inside of the door opening and run duct tape accros the bottom edge
Also carpet tape and strips of 1 inc pink ridged insulation will work.
sand bags are heavy and get wet. If you do go that way roll them in plastic and duct tape.
