I started washing houses. my machine is 3700 psi 4gpm. I don't want to adjust the unloader so what would be the best way to rinse?

Don't touch the unloader.

1 Stand back to rinse.

2 Use just your ball valve to rinse if you have one, if not get one rated for the pressure. Good ones cost around 50.00

3 Buy an adjustable wand to lower or raise pressure. Dual Lance

4 Buy an X-jet

hey someone forgot to paint my pressure tips, they all the same color, silver.

Dave gave you great advice.

,you can drop the psi by useing bigger spray tips.By that I mean in rating not the size of the tip itself. The rating of a spray nozzel will be either on the top or side of the nozzel, with 4 gpm your spray nozzels will be rated at 4,meaning 4 gallons a minute. The degree of the spray nozzel will be in front of the 4,like 1504,2504,4004.To drop the psi you will need,1505 or 1506 or 1507 or 1508 ect. ect.(2505,2506 ect.),you can use what ever degree you want it has nothing to do in lowering the psi..Your pump is rated to handle 4 gpm,it can handle bigger nozzels but never go below its rated out put.

Tips are not color coded for pressure. They are color coded (typically) for spray patters...Red is zero, yellow is 15 degrees, green is 25 degrees, white is 45 degrees, and black is a soap tip. I have several green tips, each for a different pressure. You can't color code them for pressure, since the pressure is going to be different on different machines of different gpm ratings.

Here's a nozzle chart that will help you determine which nozzle you need for which psi based on the gpm of your machine.

While the ratings are typically close to the gpm, that's not a good way to determine tip size. A 4 gpm machine doesn't necessarily need a size 4.0 tip...That will give 4000 psi at 4gpm. The pump and/or hose may not even be rated that high, and the unloader may not be set that high...The best way to determine tip size is with the nozzle chart. If you want 4000 psi, then yes, you use the tip that corresponds with your gpm. Many machines aren't even rated this high.

Some are not colored coded other then a silver look or stainless steel look,we redrecks cann't afford the fancy colored ones.We have learned how to eyeball the end of the nozzel and know what spray "patters",grin,it is.
