PaveClean

Have any of you heard of a product called PaveClean? It is for cleaning oil and grease off of concrete and ashphalt. It is home based out of Cape Coral, FL and is a dry material you spread on (no water needed) rub in and then wait a few days and the concrete is supposed to be like new.

Just wondered if anyone had any experience with the company or product and does it work as advertised? You can check out their web page at www.paveclean.com .

It sounds like a similar product available here in CA, called Rekrete. The stuff is fine as far as being "environmentally friendly" until you get it any where near water. Have you ever used alka seltzer? This is what happens when you get it mixed with water. It is a hot item on the California EPA's list right now. They are launching an investigation into Fraud for the packaging, because it claims to be environmentally friendly or even safe and non-hazardous. If you read the MSDS, the stuff is scary!!! If you end up with even the slightest rain event, it turns the storm drains into giant alka seltzer tablets!! Terrible for the environment. It sounds too much like this other product for me. I personally willl stay as far away from it as possible. The other comment one of my distributors made about this stuff is that if you inhaled or "drank" it, it could actually cause your stomach to blow up. Because of the fizz. That was a word for word quote. Just my two cents....

Harold,

Never heard of the product but as far as Kendra's statement is concerned. I guess it would depend on what application of cleaning you where appying it to. You will have problems with any cleaning product that removes grease and oil and runs off into the local storms drains.
