Stains and Sealers

I enjoy doing decks...I get a thrill out of seeing the wood coming alive again and having the customers get so excited that the deck they paid thousands for looks like it did years ago....

But the one thing I can not get over....the one thing I hate even more than washing a second story of a building and getting soaked when it is 45 degrees out plus wind in the winter....worse than getting underbid when it's slow....worse than no-show employees...

I can't stand coming home sticky and smelling like stain!!!

Finished 2 large decks today now I am a nice golden shade of natural cedartone!!

So do I. Wear protective clothing and try cover your body if thats possible. I run into this problem in the hotter Months when to much clothing makes you feel like your going to have a heat stroke. Either way when staining I always wear pants with a long sleeve shirt resperator and face hat to keap the stain off my body. This is of course when I'm spraying. When staining a deck by hand I dressed down to possibly shorts and I try to keep the stain off my body. I always wear latex gloves.
In the summer when I get home I jump in my pool to help eleviate the stain smell and to float /relax in nice cool water. Can't wait for the summer!!!
