    painted wood siding

I just did a cedar house yesterday. It wasn't shingles, just lapped siding. If it's painted, your usual house wash should work for mold, mildew, dirt, etc. If anything, you may need to increase your bleach slightly if the mold/mildew adheres due to the texture of the wood. If the paint is...

    Concrete in put?

I don't do much concrete, but I don't think you have a prayer of getting that much per square foot. If you not using a surface cleaner, what are you going to use? Fan tip? Turbo nozzle? I wouldn't even attempt to do that much concrete with a wand. I'm not saying that you don't have good...

    Runs on the vinyl siding

Make sure your not spraying into the seam of where 2 pieces of vinyl meet. On the side of the house, you start at the front corner, and work you way to the back spraying the house at a slight angle. If the vinyl contractor is worth anything at all, the seams will face towards the back of the...

    Anyone use Brown Stuff?

I say that it is expensive, but I was buying it in 5 gallons buckets when I was starting out. Maybe it is cost effective in 55 gallon drums. It really is a good all purpose soap, though. Tough enough to handle some strip jobs, yet gentle enough to mix for house wash. Last I saw, it was close...

    Anyone use Brown Stuff?

The Brown Stuff that you speak of is decent, but expensive. I think the name is just something they came up with, but is probably sold under different names elsewhere. I am not sure if the place that sells it manufacturers it, or just distributes it. Are you using it on houses? If so, there...

Question about Enviro Specs Emulsifier Plus Powder

Right now, I am trying some stuff that I bought locally. I wouldn't say that it cleans any better than Emulsifier, just more versatile. For basic house washing, the Emulsifier plus will work just fine, and it's fairly cheap too.

Question about Enviro Specs Emulsifier Plus Powder

To clarify my post, I meant that it was better to start off with a weaker mix when starting to tweak the recipe for his situation. I didn't mean to try to make a weak mix for regular washing.

Question about Enviro Specs Emulsifier Plus Powder

I think he had it right how they recommend to mix it. 3 gallons of emulsifier plus and 2 gallons of bleach. I am all for following manufacturers directions, but I have talked to several people that have had to repaint houses when mixing it like this. It can also depend on what type of...

Question about Enviro Specs Emulsifier Plus Powder

I've used it in the past with some success. Check the MSDS sheet for any respiratory hazards. I don't think there is any. A couple of guys from N. Carolina, Chuck and Scott, posted a recipe on another board some time ago. Don't mix it like the product says. It is too strong. You can...
