You're probably right. Controversial threads are interesting tho..this one ran 33 pages!! Maybe some people take them too seriously and become offended. To me they're just a healthy exchange of viewpoints...nothing to be afraid of or become offended by..hit me with your best shot, if I can't...

Well..I thought I made a mistake in starting a new thread so I re submitted it and it was there for a while and got censored..

Well I was just going to start a new thread. To be consistant with my beliefs of not mixing religion with politics I felt that posting in the politicial "Presidents Record" thread would put it in the wrong context....hense the new thread.

Oness I started a new thread called "Whats up with all the religious flip-floppers??"....it disappeared. I meant for the title to be kinda.. :rolleyes:

Gotta agree with Walt on this. I started out posting it was a fair election and Bush won. I stated it was one of the closest elections making it fair from a mandate by the "American People". When questioned about how I arrived at my conclusion I pointed out that of the 100% of eligible...

Oneness. You misread my post . I said 25% of the eligible voters...not those that actually voted. We'll never know their thoughts or preferences. But they are still part of this country lazy or not. So to imply that 51% of the American people chose Bush is simply innaccurate. Don't you agree...

Mark Why not just let the thread die on its own? People have become pretty civil. Just wondering ...this election wasn't ONE of the closest? It almost went to a tie. How much closer could it get? Enlighten me with your data.

I think Marks is right...its a done deal. Dan and OneCall both have meaningful points. Bush did win. He is our prez because little over 25% of the eligible voters thought he was the better choice. Thats 1-3% more than the number of people who didn't want him in. Another 45% of voters...

Well Bush did win. He was elected by about 25% of the eligible voters. 25% of American adults agreed with him enough to have bothered voting. One state is hardly unanimous.

Well......he won. I think its a real bad choice. But he won and I think it was a fair and square election. Electoral and popular.
