Nothing...absolutely nothing will get them as clean as the tradditional way. However, pressure washing the windows (low pressure of course) and rinsing well with DI water can leave them cleaner than just leaving them alone....

I have been told recently that using acid then say chlorine is a prob...but if you use acid only and rinse every time, they will last. i do not know if this is true but it does make some snese.

Fabrication debris is a huge issue cross country. You are very lucky if you dont have to deal with it. It could be that the glass manufacturer (s) only send the good stuff to your area. But dont be fooled into thinking you are not scratching glass as a result of your talent. No offense...

Oil flow doesnt do much for silicon...however, there is a new product out that eats it up. it is call dicone nc9 and is 78 bucks a gallon. I have not tried it...I see no need.
