Clean indoor/outdoor carpet??

Can outdoor carpet be cleaned, and how? I have a customer who had carpet put down on his deck that surrounds a pool. It has only been down two months and is getting moldy already.

I told him to call a carpet cleaner.....but I was wondering if it can be done....

I had a customer who had a back deck on the shady side of the house. Problem of lack of sunlight and air not kepting the deck dry . I gave him the idea of bleach solution at a rate of 2 - 5 % . he sprayed on the solution and scrub it in and rised. within a few days it nearly remove the mold. I am a little surprise the sitation you have around the pool, clorine should have kept this in balance. I wonder if the pool clorine is at the correct rate.
