Downstream mix ratio

I'm trying to see if anyone knows how to figure what your downstreamer mixes your chems at. I have a 3500 psi 5gpm unit with a 1.8 mm orifice chemical tip and a 15045 high pressure tip on my wand. I am trying to figure the pressure at full draw.

I'm not really sure what you are asking. Are you trying to figure out your draw ratio from the downstreamer? The last line threw me off a bit. Pressure you can measure by putting a guage in-line.

To figure out what your DS'er is drawing determine how long it takes to empty one gallon of liquid that is pumped through it. Lets say it takes one minute. If your machine is pumping out five gallons per minute and one gallon of it is chemical your ratio is 1:5 or 20%

You are downstreaming chemicals why does the rinse tip matter? Why are you using a 4.5 gpm tip on a 5 gpm machine? I think that you also need a 2.1 injector.

My bad about the tip size, meant 15050. Well, I've only been two-stepping for about 6-7 months and I'm still playing around with how I do it. I'm trying to figure out what mix the chems are going on the truck just for my curiosity. I didn't know if you had to measure it or if there was a formula. I've been trying to tweak my mix ratios a little bit that's all. I was actually trying to see if there was a way around using hot water but getting the same results as using hot upstream soap. I only use the burner when I turn the soap on but I keep burning the seals up in my gun......At what temp do most of you wash at or is there a way around the hot-water when two-stepping?

Temp 90/110....apply it before you turn the burner on.

We use cold water washers. The chemical consumption is a little more, however you don't have the cost of and problems of a hot water machine. You were also having problems with your gun seals. If you are pulling an HF acid solution through it, the seals won't last long. We use an open gun with a push button radio remote to contol the pump and chemical selection. It works very well. good luck
