How long does it take...?

Just wondering...How many of you clean hoods alone and if you do how long does it normally take you?
My other questions is how many of you use a two man crew and how long does it normally take you?
Lastly, how many of you drive over 50 miles to give a free estimate.

I have a couple of guys that work alone, but the rest of my crews are 2-6 man. How long does it take? How Long is a Chinaman's name. Its all relative. A one system oriental could take just as long as a 3 system coffee shop. Our service area is about 150 mile radius so yes we give free estimates outside of 50 miles.

i never clean hoods alone, i always use just one guy. and like stated above all depends on the size of the hoods how many and how dirty.
but a average hood usually takes me and one guy 2-3 hours to clean. if i get someone who calls for a estimate and i cant drive there at that time, i ask the size when the last time it was done and try to give the best estimate over the phone give or take.

I have been working alone for the past 3 years and most of the hoods I work on take between 2-3 hours. Like you have heard before, it all depends on the size and condition of the hoods/fitlers.
I have traveled well over 50 miles to quote jobs and sometimes it all works out, other times it doesn't.
Working alone does have it's problems though, such as, the constant threat of falling down and getting seriously hurt. Thankfully that has not happened to me yet. KNOCK ON WOOD!! Hope this is useful for you
